Jessica's "It's real life" blog post this week is entitled "where the magic happens". She wants to see pictures of your bedroom. So here's mine................
Do the stars make it seem more "magical"? Just an after thought...........
Aaahhhh, the memories........here are some of our wedding pictures. Yes! We were married on a beach in Hawaii!!........
These nightstands are probably my favorite furniture pieces in my house. You can find them at Z Gallerie. In fact most of the stuff in this bedroom is from Z Gallerie. They have the COOLEST stuff, for very reasonable prices, I think.
I found this wonderful screen at TJ Maxx one day as I was browsing. I had been looking for one for a long time, but they are SOOO expensive, so I never was able to get one. I thought I would just check the price anyways, and when I saw it I about fell over....... the original price was $399, and the "clearance" price was $16.99............Ummmm, I was pretty sure somebody had made a mistake, so being the honest person that I am, I asked an employee if she was SURE that the price was correct. She told me that it had been sitting in their warehouse for a couple years, and they just wanted to get rid of it!!! Hallelujah! SOLD!
Okay, this part of my bedroom is totally useless. I can honestly say that I have used this sink maybe twice. And I really didn't even NEED to do that. It's just wasted space, and one more thing to clean and dust. The only good I can MAYBE see it serving, would be if we would decide to have another baby, and then I would probably use it for middle of the night feedings.........but for me, even that is a stretch!

Last AND least is my seatLESS sitting room. We have lived in this house for almost two years, and I have yet to use this "sitting" room. At Christmas time we had to move a chair out of the family room to make room for the tree, so we moved it here, and I actually did use this room, which was awesome, but alas, Christmas was over and back went the chair. Leaving my room bare again..............oh, to have a seat in my sitting room.................and some paint on the walls...........
LOVE your bedroom! Very nice. I wanna see more wedding pictures, put some up here! OH, and we have a completely empty sitting room in our master...glad we're not the only ones!
I would love to post pics of my bedroom, but that would mean I would have to clean it first. Can I do this later? ha.
Yours on the other hand. So beautifully decorated. And above your bed is the perfect spot for your "stars".
Hey Heidi, thanks for stopping by my blog. I love, love, love your bedroom and I think the stars do make it look "magical". HA! Your family is adorable. Stop by and visit again. HAPPY 4TH!
Amen on the empty sitting area! Me too! And for some reason, I can manage to keep the whole rest of the house looking decent (all right - semi-decent!) but the master bedroom seems to always have a little "overflow" hanging around...just stuff that I still need to find a home for. To be caught up on life one day....:)
Happy 4th Heidi! I miss seeing you!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your room!!! I do not think I have ever seen a sink in a room like that though!
We were married on the north shore of hawaii!
Your bedroom is very cool!
I told someone that I thought they had the coolest room I saw, but I think you might take the award :) You have magnificent design style. I wish my husband would let me get stuff like this!
Those mirrored side tables are really unique; definitely something I'd see in a design mag.
We got engaged in Hawaii. Isn't that place great?
Thanks for stopping by!
Your room is beautiful!!!
Don't get the sink though ? Did you have that built in or was in an the model?? Gorgeous! And you are clean!!!
I love your bedroom! I can SO see a big super comfy chair in that sitting room for reading and toddler rocking! LOL
Please share your other rooms, I can imagine they are so beautiful now that we have seen Ava's room and your room!
Happy 4th!
Your bedroom is spectacular- I think I actually gasped as I scrolled upon the first pic! Love, love , LOVE all your decorating ideas. I would love a little sitting room- maybe I'll put it on my short list for the house hunt.
Your blog design is pretty cool too.
I am loving your bedroom...no one wants to see mine right now. Would you like to come and help me decorate our new house???? ;-)
Love your room! Especially the colours and materials of your accessories. I see what you mean about the sink, that is an odd spot for one. We have a fancy sink like that in our laundry room (not a laundry sink, it's tiny but has granite and a vanity bottom) that I also find quite useless!
Your room is just lovely. I love your screen - I love it even more for being $16.99! I even love the sink, I'm not sure why, but I just love the quirkiness of it.
I do have a wonderful plushy, swallow-you-whole chair in my bedroom sittin area. It mostly holds laundry ;)
Sarah
Wow...I love it.....it's all so perfect!!!
I just love your room!
FANTASTIC BEDROOM!!! *applause* My sitting area is also sit-less. *ahem* I'm going to make it into a powder room!
You left a comment on my blog saying that you bet the rest of my house is SOOOOO cool! Well if you're ever bored out of your goard (or is it ghord? gord?) click on the tag DECORATING and some other projects should come up!
I love your bedroom...it is very stylish. What a great find on the screen. I love unbelievable bargains like that.
