Today the entire Hixson clan took a trip to the lake and rented a big pontoon boat. Now, mind you, my children have never seen a BIG lake before.....only the relatively small lakes that we have in our neighborhood. (They have only been to the ocean) So, it goes to reason that BOTH the children asked me no less than 50 times if there would be sharks in the lake. Ava was completely UNCONVINCED that there weren't. Causing huge distress as we took off.
About five minutes into the ride, Ava relaxed and decided that she liked the lake and being on a boat.
Always the climber....
So Carter tubed for the first time, and he absolutely LOVED it. Everyone else who wanted a turn had to fight him for a chance!! Craig thought he would attempt to induce a trip to the ER by doing a back flip off of the boat.....
Cutie patooties!!
We finally talked Hope into tubing with Carter, and they had so much fun doing it together.
"Miss Squishy"
Poor Hollie got bullied into getting in the water, but she was a good sport about it and decided to "do her time" on the tube.
Which of course leads to me, because everyone said that if Hollie did it, then I had to do it also..........hhmmmm.......achem.......well,..............WHY IN THE WORLD AM I THE ONLY ONE OUT OF 14 PEOPLE TO GO HOME WITH A CHIN THAT LOOKS LIKE IT SKIDDED ACROSS A GRAVEL ROAD????
Uh huh....injured. Me. And ALL thought it was SOOOOO funny. .......REAL HILARIOUS PEOPLE! I'm sure I'll be laughing every time I look in the mirror for the next two weeks. Hardy Har har!! (incidentally, I have NO pictures of this event.....and if there ARE any floating around....they better not surface!! ha!ha!ha!) Uncle Pete teaching Carter how to drive.....
My dad was ALSO bullied into the water....now THAT was FUNNY!! He looked like a man with no legs!

If it makes you feel any better, the last time I was on a tube, I came home with a sore back and very chafed legs (and I dont use the term chafed lightly - matter of fact I rarely use that term at all!)
Looks like ya'l had some serious fun!
What fun! But, how's your face?... Poor girl... How on earth did you hurt your face??? I gotta ask...
Um... and how cute are those four little crackers?!! My goodness! They're pure health and vitality... We're all pastie over here, what with winter and being sick and cooped up. I can't wait til it's warmer... Once again, the most delightful pics - thanks warming up my day...
Hopefully your chin will make a full recovery!! It was MUCH FUN yesterday.
Your picts turned out super cute! Must do it again real soon:)
How fun! I would love a pontoon!
Which lake did you go to? Hubby wants to live on Lake Tobesofkee. LOL
BTW, don't let the kids know that there ARE gators in the FL lakes. Yuck! LOL
I did see a picture of you on Hollie's site! You need some more pictures of yourself on yours!
:-) Glad you all have fun! We had a great weekend too!
Cute pics!! Looks like you guys had a super time. I love the lake. I agree. You need to post more pictures of yourself on your blog..especially ones on a tube!! HA.
Trust me, I've got legs. They won't let me forget that they are there today!!!
Actually I think that it Carter that was teaching Uncle Pete how to drive!
It was really a great time!!
F.U.N. we love going to the lakes here & tubing, boating, skiing, swimming, etc.....
