I've been tagged by fellow bloggers in Colorado and Indiana to share a favorite room.....so here is my favorite room in our house. My daughter Ava's room. I think I love her room so much because it is the only room in the house that has ALMOST all the finishing touches done to it. I also just love hanging out in there with Ava doing make up, nails, watching her dance, and playing with her dollhouse.
Most little girls have pink or purple rooms, but when I was a little girl, I had a light blue room complete with all the light blue trimmings, and a checkered blue bedspread with ruffles ...........still today thinking about that room and the cute pictures we have of it, I love it! So, I wanted Ava's room to definitely be girlie, but "different girlie".......I opted for the aqua blue walls and the black bed. I love it, but more importantly Ava loves it!! She even told me a while back that she lived in a princess room. Well then, mission accomplished.
I just need a window treatment.......I was thinking of a french awning in black and white over the window and dollhouse...? any other suggestions?

OMG! I love this room!!! It's totally a princess room! I am in the middle of trying to decide what to do with my daughter's room and I think I have some inspiration from you!
Please share where you got these adorable French designed items. I love the stool, the pink poodles, the Eiffel Tower, the prints, the list goes on and on.
Where is the nightstand and armoire from? I'm looking for something simple but beautiful and this would fit the bill. How about the black iron bed?
So many questions. LOL I love it all! You have inspired me for sure! Thank you!!!
I can only imagine the other rooms in your house. Are you a decorator?? :)
How fun to grow up in this room! All of the details are perfect. I can see why this room would be a favorite.
This is a beautiful princess room!!! I love it! I can't wait to do my daughter's big-girl room.
Jennifer,
Thank you for your sweet comments!
The bedding came from Bombay Kids....unfortunately they went out of business. But, the rest of the stuff is probablly still available. The metal eiffel tower was found at Hobby Lobby. The white furniture is from Pottery Barn. The iron bed was a FANTASTIC price, and I will have to do a little digging to find the name of the place that I ordered it from and the exact price that I paid.....but when I find it, I will let you know!
The pictures on the wall and the foot stool were hand painted by my mom.....if you would like to see them up close, I can take more pics. She would probably "recreate" them for you if you are interested. She's AWESOME at that stuff!
And about the rest of the rooms in my house........we'll just have to keep doing these posts!! Ha!ha!
I hope you have a great day!
Heidi
Oh my goodness! That is the most adorable little girl's room I really ever seen! Ava must just LOVE playing in her room. I love it!!
I have to agree with whoever said OMG I LOVE THIS ROOM! My husband and I are in the process of adopting so who knows when we'll have a chance to put together a nursery but Im going to have to save a picture of the way you painted that wall....awesome!
OH and I found you through Kelly's Korner. Nice to meet/blog with ya!
Darling room.....blessed little girl!
Did you paint the back diamond print wall yourself? Super looking! The chandelier is just darling too!
You did a beautiful job! No wonder Ava loves her room so much. It's a true girlie girl room!
Wow. That is is a gorgeous room. I can see why she loves her "princess room." Every little girl dreams of a room like that!
You have great taste.
I saw your link from Kelly's page and I have to say this room must be every little girl's dream! I love it! You have awesome decorative taste!
