The Zip is BACK!!!!

Wednesday, September 3, 2008 |

So in honor of the famous zip code returning to prime time last night, Melissa hosted a fun pajama party for those of us DIE HARDS!! Now the only question is...did it meet our expectations? And THAT my friends, is yet to be determined.
I mean, maybe because we are in such a different stage of life, and can't really relate to the characters (or at least their ages) anymore, or more so to the point...we DID relate to the characters.....THE OLD FOGIE TEACHERS THAT IS......I don't know, I just wasn't feelin' it that much last night. (Ya know, it's kind of like that BIG roller coaster you remember as a child, and then going back ten years later just to realize that the height limit to ride is only twelve inches, and while you are riding the darn thing, you can practically reach down and touch the ground with your hands.) Although, my heart DID skip a beat or two when they played the famous 90210 theme song!! Oh yeah baby!!
BUT....FEAR NOT!! I have high hopes! I will watch again, and hope that more originals will sign on, and get this show off the ground. I sooooooooo want it to FLY!! Bring on Tori Spelling!
Good show or bad show........either way it was a GIRLS NIGHT, and that's all that really matters anyways!! Thanks Melissa!

Did anyone else watch? What did you think?

Hey Heidi!! I so wanted to be there last night, but Jacob and Cassidy had practice and it wasn't over until 7:30...no PJ party for me. Maybe at the season finale. I am with you though, I hope more oldies sign on and get this one off the ground. It is definitely worth a couple more viewings.

I don't think this one is as a good as the original. Watched it but was not that impressed.

Hey there! I was so excited that the 'zip' was back! But so far I don't know. With early day 90210 the shows could actually be watched with teens.......a good conversation starter if you will. But not this one, or at least points of it. The whole car scene with Ethan and the dark haired girl....HELLO? Not something I would think for prime time!

But I think I'll give it a few more viewings to be sure. And I think we need to see more of the previous cast members! There wasn't much story with Kelly Taylor and Brenda Walsh......why? :(

Anyhoo, here's hoping for the shows to be better.

Hiya! We have had the previews playing for a while now advertising "The Zip". OMGness!!! It appears to be SOOOOOOOOOOO sleazy and "ick" - there was the most awful kissing scene. EEEEEE-U! I'm no prude, but when it's on I'll be ironing... or something!!!...
Although, it would be a good excuse for a PJ party... but it's on on a school night over here - SMART!... and you know what that means... Glad you had fun with the girls... And as for the photos you posted of yourself - great, gorgeous, you are the coolest Mama, and all that... but I wanna see "THE CHIN!" !!!!!!!!

I was really looking forward to the first episode on Tuesday but I set the wrong channel to record. I was so upset. I am not sure how anything would be able to be as good as the original though. It is funny because as I grew up with that show my taste in the guys on the show changed...only one has been constant...Brian Austin Green...HOT!

I think this whole Face Book obsession is taking you back to your high school days... Shows like that and high school are always better in your memories. Now you just have to find a more "mature" show to obsess about, like the Golden Girls, or something like that... I bet you are too young to even have seen that show! ha!
