First day

Tuesday, July 8, 2008 |

We arrived in Texas Sunday night safe and sound, and actually quite sane as well. The trip was shockingly event less, with all four children being exceptionally good! (major prayer must have been going on.......heehee) Robin and I even commented on how we were able to carry on a fifteen hour conversation without hardly being interrupted....that NEVER happens when we are home with the kids! ha!ha!...We have decided that when we want to talk from now on, we are just going to strap the kids in to the car, turn the movie on, and DRIVE!!!! ha!

Of course my Aunt's pool has been a HUGE hit, with all the kids in their bathing suits by 9am this morning!
Their trampoline is a also a big hit with the kiddos.....I just hope they all come back in one piece! Debatable after finding the boys climbing the trees and plummeting on to the trampoline!!!

Ava and my cousin Sydney. Ava has not let Sydney take a breath today without her right beside her. I don't think Sydney minds though, she's acting like Ava's little servant and doing EVERYTHING she asks.......a.k.a.DEMANDS!! Wonder how long this will last.......

Here's my other cousin Brittany, CARTER is making her carry him around everywhere!!........and she's doing it! ha!

Sydney introduced Ava to her ipod today..........OH BOY!!!!!
We went to the most awesome little restaurant tonight for dinner. Here in Texas there is a Mexican restaurant on EVERY corner.....this place called the HULA HUT being one of the more famous ones! It was awesome and was right on the Austin river. Of course the kids LOVED that!

Fish tacos.....YUM!
We ended our day by stopping by a natural springs reservoir where we were lucky enough to see this beautiful family of swans.
What a totally fun first day we have had. Tomorrow we are taking a hike, and hitting a museum.........pictures to follow I am sure!
Now I am hittin' the hay! Good night!

HI! Thanks for visiting my site, I do love the bachelor/ette and have loved finding others blogging away on it! I am new to this adventure and am enjoying meeting so many new people. I am looking forward to meeting many more friends, and sharing with the ones I have met.

Oh - now I really miss Texas!! Buuuttt, we are making plans to go the first week of August (can you say HOT?!), just the kids and me! But we are flying - really didn't want to do that drive by myself! Eat tons of REAL Tex-Mex, and yes, true beef brisket - yummo! Austin is beautiful! Maybe you'll have time to visit San Antonio, too! Have fun, and stay cool!

How fun! The pool looks so refreshing!

Does Ava have the Mix Clips from Disney? We got one for Shelby for her birthday b/c she was wanting an iPod like her brother. I found it on Ebay for a great price ($15 shipped, marked $60!) and then the clips for $18 for 4 on ebay, normally $13 or $14 each! LOL

Your on vacation and your STILL commenting on blogs? How commendable. ha. Looks like you are having alot of fun. Your aunts pool looks so inviting. We've not been swimming once yet this summer.

Oh yeah, that was awful on last nights episode, huh? I have been in such shock today.

Thanks for continuing to visit me.

First, Hula Hut is a Mexican restaurant? And that is the beauty of S. TX, the Mexican food. Love fish tacos!

And sorry about the rain! But we hadn't had it in sooo long. Don't know if Austin is getting it but the SA area is wet. Bright side, it's much cooler than it would usually be.

    Have fun! Texas is great.
