Sassy little things!!

And..............................................LIGHTS OUT!!!!

We had a fantastic but very long day today. We started with lunch and a meeting (about our upcoming women's night at church....btw..going to be VERY fun and funNY night....so get your tickets now!!) with Hollie and Addie at Chikfilet. Of course Ava and Addie had fun together, and Hollie and I actually got a few things nailed down for the event. YEAH!!

Then Ava and I went to the gym for a quick work out before getting Carter from school at 2:45. After getting Carter, we came home and I got ready for the missions trip meeting that we had at church tonight. When I was done getting ready we still had an hour and a half before we had to leave, so we walked down to the lake. Things were going great until we got into the swan paddle boats, and the seats were soaking wet................oh well, the damage was done, so we stayed sitting in the water and paddle boated on the lake for quite a while! We had 2 duck friends today, and LOTS of fish.....so we are hoping that they keep multiplying!!

After re parking the boat (which was quite a chore...Craig usually does that for me!), we attempted to get out of the boat without falling in. I am happy to say that WE made it back to the dock........but my keys were not so lucky. NO, they didn't fall in the lake, but in the mini lake in the bottom of the boat. You know that pesky remote control for your car that costs $300 to replace??.........................yep, that's the one that DROWNED!! What is my problem with electronics and water anyways??
I currently have my remote tore apart and "drying".......hoping against ALL hopes and prayers that it will magically work in the morning.............................Craig's going to kill me if I have to get a new one!!!!!(which is probably most likely!:-)YIKES!!!!! and a great big OYE!!!

Our mission trip meeting went great, except that the Spanish translator who came tonight and was trying to teach us a little Spanish kept looking at me when he was saying.."it's ok, if ya'll butcher the language, the people in Latin America are very forgiving and will help you with it".................so why did he keep looking at me??? Who gave him the 411 on me??..............Apparently he did not realize that I got the Spanish award at my high school graduation!!!!!....................well, I guess i should have gotten the award after taking Spanish 1 two times and Spanish 2 two times..........oops!
Seriously though, the translators were great, and I am very much looking forward to our trip next month!!
